Taking Photographs with Memos
Recording Memos with
Photographs
Before proceeding, confirm that a memo list file
has been transferred to the cameras internal
memory or to the memory card inserted in the
camera.
Adding Memos to New Photos
1.
Select 5/V mode and press
ADJ./MEMO.
The camera memo dialog will be displayed.

Memo OnFILE LIST
If the camera contains multiple memo list
files, the most recently-used file will be
displayed.
While the camera memo dialog is
displayed, photos can still be taken by
pressing the shutter-release button.

Create a memo.
Choose descriptions as described on P.28.
3.
Press MENU/OK.
Press MENU/OK to accept the current
memo.
4.
Take photographs.
The memo will be added to all new photos.
Multiple Memo List Files
If the camera contains more than one memo list
file, press DISP. to display a list of files. Press !
or " to highlight a file and press MENU/OK to
select.

If [On] is selected for [Display Memo at Startup]
in the camera memo menu, the camera memo
dialog will be displayed automatically at
camera startup.
Memos will be added to all photographs
taken while a memo list file is present on the
camera. To prevent memos from being added
to photographs, use a computer to delete all
“*.mta files from the [TEMPLATE] folder on
the memory card or in the cameras internal
memory. Memo list files can not be deleted
by formatting the memory card or internal
memory using the format option in the camera
setup menu.
Note that the camera can display only file
names consisting entirely of unaccented (low
ASCII) roman characters.
